"Wet Cold" in Toronto

I'm super excited that we are finally getting some winter weather here in Toronto. Lots of snow and temperatures below zero. FINALLY! It makes me feel like I'm back home in Manitoba. I've been shooting more often to enjoy this winter weather. Here are some images from these walk-abouts.

Disclaimer: not all of these images are winter related! I'm mostly using this opportunity to post some images I haven't had a chance to share. ENJOY :)

Chasing Winter - Muskoka

The weather around Toronto is making this prairie boy feel a little homesick... It's December 10 and I haven't seen any snow around the city, not even a flake! I haven't even had to bust out the winter parka yet. What the heck is even happening? Compared to Manitoba I knew it was going to be a milder climate, but this is madness! According to the weather network I don't need to worry because the cold weather and snow is indeed on it's way, but I just couldn't wait. My lady and I decided to head north to find some of this winter weather. We headed up to Muskoka for a day and hiked around Hardy Lake. We were not disappointed. Fresh snow and cool weather, the full winter experience!

2017 Muaythai Canada National Championship

I had the opportunity to shoot a Muay Thai tournament the other day. I love the sport of  MMA, so to see these specialist in action was a real treat. If you don't know, Muay Thai is a combat sport using a combination of knees, elbows, kicks, punches and the clinch. It's like a high stakes chess match up. The work ethic and determination you have to have to pursue this sport is really amazing.

Bruce Peninsula Blues 2

Spent another weekend up in Bruce Peninsula. It was pretty cold and rainy which is actually great... When it's nice out you can expect Bruce Peninsula to be packed. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. Here are some shots from that weekend.

From dusk to DON - Before and After

Here is a "Before and After" sequence of a photo of Don Valley that I shot the other day. I had a handful of people message me asking about how much I had manipulated the photograph and what sort of gear I used, etc... Rather than explaining what exactly I had done to the pictures, take a look for yourself.

Autumn in Algonquin

Here are some images from a recent trip out to the legendary Algonquin Provincial Park. My lady and I were lucky with the timing as the leaves on the trees were in their full fall glory. I imagine this park would be amazing all year round, but it was a bonus that we caught the trees at their peak. I beautiful display of the autumn colour pallet. I'm already looking forward to my next trip back. Until then, here are some images from our Algonquin journey.
