Music Therapy Month 2022

Here is a video I created for Trillium Health Partners.

March is Music Therapy month. At THP, we’re fortunate to have two Music Therapists who work with patients. They use music to improve motor skills and work towards cognitive and socialization goals.

"Music therapy is important because it really allows people to pay attention to all parts of who they are; physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and find ways for them to connect to those areas in a way that is natural and fun for them.” Christina Weldon, Music Therapist, THP.

Frozen Photos // POTD 07.02.22

Some photos shot on the coldest day of the year so far. I’ll always make a point to get down to the beach when it’s freezing cold out. It’s worth it for these awesome ice formations.

Snow Day Street Portraits // 20.01.22

One of my favourite genres of street photography is “street portraits.” It’s not something I’ve been practicing as frequently as I would like to, but I’m hoping to change that. When I started shooting I definitely did a lot more of this. I’ve been trying to carry around my Fuji X100V with me everywhere, so hopefully that will open up more opportunities to shoot some strangers.

The other day, here in Toronto, we got walloped with a big snow fall. I decided to go out to shot some photos while the snow was falling. I managed to get some interesting street portraits. Here are some of my greatest hits from that day.

WILD WINTER WEATHER // POTD 17.01.22

If you are living in the GTA I’m sure you are aware of the intense amount of snow we woke up to. After digging myself out of my house I was able to get out to snap some pictures of people trying to make their way to work. We also wrapped the day with an absolutely beautiful sunset. Pretty dramatic day when it comes to weather.

Bonus points to me for CBC News using the image of people lined up on the Danforth waiting for the bus in one of their web stories from today. Woo!
