2018 Season coming to an end

Just like that, another season has come and gone at Woodbine. It's been a great year for me as an EFP videographer with Woodbine Entertainment. When you're working hard and enjoying what you do, time seems to go by all too fast. It feels like just yesterday we were shooting promotions for The 159th Queen's Plate, and now the action at the track is coming to a close. It's always a good idea to take some time to slow down and think about everything that happened over the last year, so I decided to do just that. I grabbed the slow motion camera (SONY FS7 for those who are curious!) and went out for a day of shooting on the grounds. It was the perfect way to reflect back on the 2018 season.

Cheers to all my friends and colleagues at Woodbine!

2017 Muaythai Canada National Championship

I had the opportunity to shoot a Muay Thai tournament for work the other day. I love the sport of  MMA, so to see these specialist in action was a real treat. If you don't know, Muay Thai is a combat sport using a combination of knees, elbows, kicks, punches and the clinch. I've never practiced Muay Thai myself, but despite that I still really admire what these athletes do. It's like a high stakes chess match up. The work ethic and determination you have to have to pursue this sport is really amazing.

I will definitely be jumping on future opportunities to shoot any martial art related event I can! Hopefully there is more of this in my future.

Here is a little sizzle reel of some of the shots I got at this tournament. I hope you enjoy. :)
