Lake Ontario Kayak Excursion

This was me a little over a week ago. Since I live a hop skip and a jump away from Lake Ontario I decided to turn this passing idea into a reality. I purchased a kayak! I've always enjoyed canoeing and kayaking, but I've never lived so close enough to a body of water to justify such a purchase. The boat has already given me some fun photo opportunities. Here are a couple images my kayak has given me access to. Click on the thumbnail to see the full photograph.

Some kayak-photo excursions I'm planning in the near future are to the Scarborough bluffs, Tommy Thompson Park, and Toronto Island. Check back in soon to see those images. :)

Went for a stroll with my gal and caught the days last light.

Street Photos Dali

My favourite stop in China has to be Old Town Dali. I always try to picture what it would be like to live in the places I travel to, and of all the spots we stopped in China this is the one I could definitely see myself living in. With mountains to west and Erhai Lake to the east, this quaint little town is one chill spot to stop. The streets are spotted with tons of hip cafes and bars. Once the sun goes down there is live music coming from just about every second building. On top of that we had some of the best meals here, including some vegetarian hot pot and a restaurant that specialized in Buddhist vegetarian food. This town has a really hippy vibe. If you are into any of these things and you find yourself in Yunnan Province be sure to swing by Dali. Click on the images below to see the full photograph.
